El Curtiss O2C-1 aparece en la película "King Kong" de 1933. Los aviones que aparecen en el film pertenecían a un escuadrón de reserva de la US Navy, con base el aeródromo de Floyd Bennett, en Nueva York. El emblema de la unidad,  que aparece en varios fotogramas de la película sobre el fuselaje de los aviones, es Mickey Mouse montado sobre un ganso, con la estatua de la Libertad al fondo.

The Curtiss O2C-1 appears in the film "King Kong" of 1933. The airplanes that appear in the film belonged to a reserve 

squadron of the United States Navy, based at the Floyd Bennett field in New York. 

The emblem of the unit, which appears in several frames of the film on the fuselage of airplanes,

 is Mickey Mouse mounted on a goose, with the Statue of Liberty in the background.
